I recently had a HDD failure in my Lenovo T410 after the cooling fan burned out and the system overheated. I am mostly to blame for this as I tend to use my laptop directly on my lap and it doesn't always get good airflow. The Infinite EVO does a nice job of creating a air pocket that allows unrestricted airflow to my laptop, even when the EVO is resting on blankets. The fact that it sucks air in from the two back large intake vents helps as well. My the aluminum surface and added rubber grommets on the top of the EVO help to grip the laptop and keep from sliding around.

The power switch, and fan speed controls are nice features, and you can purchase a separate wall adapter if you feel the need, but the USB power option has better portability. The noise from the dual fans is noticeable at the highest setting in a quite room, but its easily drowned out by background noise if there is any. Watching TV would drown out the fan sound completely.
