This is a "Netbook" stand. So as long as you're using it for such it should fit fine. I have a collection of netbooks all by different manufacturers which I use primarily as music players. They are all 10.1 inch. The label on the package for this stand reads: "Fits up to 10.1" Netbooks." And it fits mine fine. The Amazon description, under Technical Details, reads: "11.4" Notebook Cooling Stand." This would appear to be an error.
I have not used the fan, as I haven't found it necessary yet. However, I find it convenient to use in bed, in lap on or a table. For the price it works quite well: the foldout tabs at the bottom hold the netbook in place while foldout legs between the layers allow multiple angles. Of course it is not hugely robust, but at this price how could it be.
