I decided to buy this because my other laptop fan's wiring went belly up. I thought this would be a good one to get because of the positive comments on it and it was quite cheap, but cheap is the word here. It just is not up for the job. I am using this right now and although my laptop is not burning hot, it if much warmer than I want it to be. I have a 15.6 inch HP laptop and I run it in varying lengths of time. From the start it just does not work well enough to keep my laptop cool. The fans are exposed just enough that you want to be careful because it may not make you bleed but it WILL hurt. Also the edges of this thing are kind of sharp so don't hold on to it too hard. The USB connection has the extender on it so you can still use that spot but it pokes out about 1 � inches and the metal on the edge of it is also kind of sharp. Just don't put yourself through the unnecessary pain of trying this out.
