I was originally wary about this product, especially considering the $60 COST. BUT, I Haven't seen anything that can handle a 15" macbook Pro and this one, with the stand, can. It works well. Some noise from the passive fans but that seems par for the course. The stand folds down flat as well as giving three angles of tilt, so can be used almost anywhere. Feels kind of cheap when you open it and begin to work with it, but once I got used to it it didn't phase me and probably won't phase you either. The plastic guard on the bottom is kind of cumbersome and somewhat useless. It interferes with the trackpad button.

BUT---Mac laptops are notoriously hot and mine is no different. I used to get the red marks on my lap after an hour of working. This definitely cools it off and is hopefully prolonging the life of my mac.

The next test is to see how well it handles my many hours of working on it before it craps out. If it does, i'll b e sure to write in again, but for now, well done!
