I bought this for my girlfriend's birthday since her laptop is older and gets extremely hot. It has a single fan that blows cool air from the bottom of the pad, to the top to cool the laptop base. The fan is fully encased so it can be set on a blanket without stopping or damaging the fan which is a major plus compared to some other brands or models. It comes in a wide variety of colors which is nice and has "feet" like a keyboard so you can give it some angle on a desk or table. It also has a usb channel to hide the usb cable if you don't want to use the fan. Overall both my girlfriend and I are pleased with the purchase.
