I bought this because it looked good on paper. Also, I have had success with Targus products in the past. I figured I could take a chance on this one. After using it for a few weeks, I have to say that I bought a cheaper model from targus a couple years ago that still works better than this one. This one makes more noise than my new laptop. It also gets warm. At first, I thought it was my laptop. When I picked up my laptop, the laptop was cool, but the "cooling pad" was warm. One thing I do like is that it is super comfortable. I don't hardly notice it is there until it starts to get warm. My advice is to consider other models. Targus is a great brand, but for some reason this model just isn't up to par.
