I am absolutely satisified with this. My laptop started to have some heat issues and I needed a cooling pad. It works and works well. Yes, it does only work for several hours and you can't use it for all eternity, but that's the nature of heat transfer. It's absorbing the heat from the laptop and distributing it away from the heat sensitive components. It'll warm up over time. Can't say for other laptops, but it lasts for around 4-6 hours with mine, depending on how much I'm pushing my system. Others will be hotter or colder though, so the time will vary.
