I bought this to put under my MacBook Pro (15"). I knew the fans wouldn't help much with cooling, but I just wanted to get it the computer off the desk so that the air could flow under and around it. This device accomplished my objective.
As others have said it is quite flimsy. You need to make sure the laptop is sitting on the padded nubs as the plastic holding the platform together will not withstand any weight. The platform MUST be on a hard surface (like a desk) or else it will break from flexing too much. Flexing it will also bend the fins on the little fans.
When it arrived it vibrated like crazy and was very loud. I ended up having to take a screwdriver and tightening down some of the brackets on the fans. Doing this helped a lot with the noise issue, but DON'T OVER-TIGHTEN the screws or YOU will be screwed!
