You can trust my review, bad or good is your choice and i hope you can try to buy this product and then you know this product good or no. Next time you can make a review for another people.

My Acer 2420 suffers from chronic overheating, mostly due to its weak ventilation system. In the search for an inexpensive remedy for the nearly plastic-melting and skin-burning heat that it creates, I'd purchase these cheapo USB-powered cooling pads. The first one (I think I bought it at Big Lots! for about $10) had a detachable power-cord... which quickly resulted in a MISPLACED power-cord. Before, however, the main unit and power-cord went their separate ways, I had found the cooling ability of the unit to be less-than-spectacular anyway; almost negligible, to be quite honest. The fan didn't seem to move much air, and since the fan was centered in the pad, and the heat-source in my laptop is on the far-right side (I think there's a burn-scar on my right thigh that resembles the underside of the case), whatever weak air-flow the pad created was unable to do much more than move hot air out from underneath ["You should see a Doctor about that!"], rather than flow cooling air THROUGH the case of my computer...basically a compact but inefficient space-heater.
The second unit I purchased (if I remember correctly, it was at a CVS/Rite-Aid/Walgreens, for about $15), I had expected to be superior to the first one, since it had TWO fans... oh, and let's not forget that ubiquitous DETACHABLE power-cord <facepalm>. Welllll, contrary to what I expected, two fans weren't any more effective than one; Ole Number Two didn't perform its task any better than the first one, sadly. While the pad and its power-cord have remained together since the beginning (although there were times I thought their relationship needed some counseling), the duo have proven to be no match for their Arch Nemesis, "TravelMate 2420". My laptop was still cooking my leg Medium-Rare, and the large amount of venting that 2 fans required made the unit structurally weak; eventually, the plastic grills over the fans began to crack under the weight of the laptop, and the various broken sections of grill fell into the blades from time to time, resulting in irritating sounds and stopped the fan from spinning altogether. Not-so-great...
So skip ahead to this past week: I was in my local Electronics Warehouse (Fry's, to be specific), and decided to check out their laptop-cooler selection. I was surprised to see how many different units they offered (many were manufactured by CoolerMaster). Figuring that "they're all about the same", I was naturally drawn to the flashy unit with the nifty blue LED [I have an addiction to LED's, I must confess]. But there was only one of them left on the shelf, and the package looked a bit rode-hard-and-put-up-wet, so although I was hesitant to put the package down [I *really* wanted to see that blue LED back-lighting], I continued to scrutinize the other offerings...and there were a LOT. But most were merely variations of a similar theme, and it was coming down to a matter of Appearance vs Price (there were some as cheap as $5, and some as expensive as $30). I have to admit, I wasn't initially drawn to the design of the D-lite (especially since it didn't actually *have* a "lite", LED or otherwise), because it's taller on one side than the other...most of the others were flat. But I did like the design of the ventilation: one large centrally-mounted 15mm fan, in a rectangular (rather than round) grill opening that spanned nearly the entire top and bottom of the case. On top of that, the >>>ATTACHED<<< USB power-cord not only has a unique pass-through USB jack (allowing you to "piggy-back" another USB device, if your laptop is USB Port-Challenged), but also the cord has handy on-board storage in the base of the unit.
So I took one out of its packaging, and plugged it into a USB jack on a nearby display PC to test the air-flow [rated at 46.8 CFM]; satisfied at the performance, I returned it to its box, and proceeded to Check-out.
Now that I've done some online research, I see this unit is priced anywhere from $9.99, up to around $30. I paid $15 at Fry's, and so far I'm just fine with that. The D-lite is quiet - the sound of my fingers typing this review is louder than its fan, whirring away underneath my laptop. The angle of the top surface - I usually have the taller side towards the back, but it's reversible of course - has made my typing much more comfortable (my wrists used to hurt after typing for long periods). And the best thing is, MY LEG ISN'T MELTING!!! XD
The ventilation of the D-lite has been able to flow sufficient air *through* the case of my laptop (I can actually feel air coming through the keyboard), preventing my laptop from over-heating, even when I'm watching a DVD; previously, using the disk-drive for more than about 5 minutes would result in "glitching", presumably from the processor suffering from heat-stroke.
I've only had this cooling pad for a few days now, but "so far, so good". I'm very satisfied with the product, in all aspects: price, quality, features, and especially performance; I only wish I had MORE over-heating laptops, so I could buy them D-lites! ;)
I would, and have, recommended this product to friends. I hope others buyers of the Notepal D-lite are as pleased with it as I am.
